Real Estate FAQ

Should you get approved for a loan prior to looking at homes?

Yes.  Lender Letters are required in Central Ohio to look at a home because homes for sale are in high demand, and offers can't be written without a lender letter. Let's pretend Connie is selling YOUR home, do you want curious buyers, or do you want ready buyers looking inside your home? Also, do you want to go look at homes, fall in love with a home, only to talk to a lender and find out you can't afford it? A loan officer will help you determine your eligibility, if you aren't ready, she will help you financial prepare to buy a home. Your loan officer will review loan programs, interests rates based on your credit score, and help you decide which loan type fits your specific financial situation.

Connie will never push you to purchase over your comfort level, because it's important to maintain your desired lifestyle without any stress excessive house payments bring.

I found a home that has foreclosure OR Short Sale notices, Iet's go look at it. I’m in a hurry!

IT'S NOT A FAST PROCESS Let’s find a short sale or foreclosure for you, but it takes time, and know that if it’s not on the MLS, it’s not yet for sale....the bank has legal obligations to follow, and these notices are a step in a process that can take up to a year to complete....the owner may be trying to get current on payments.  Short means owner is short--he owes more than the house is worth.
